The Department of Education of Region XI has chosen SPAC as one of the two private schools in the province of Davao del Sur who offers SHS program of the DepEd to be visited by the Asian Development Bank Review Mission team to evaluate and get feedbacks on how the program has been implemented. ADB entered into a loan agreement with the Government of the Philippines, with the Department of Education as the beneficiary, to support the implementation of the Senior High School.Continue Reading

SPAC welcomes today eleven (AAA) accreditors to SPAC for a three-day interim visit. The purpose of the visit is to revisit whether previous recommendations have been gradually or fully complied with so that in case of any setbacks in areas where there are uphill challenges in their implementations they can continue to provide necessary guidance and help in making them smooth-sailing. SPAC (college -22 years old), at present, is enjoying a four-year accreditation level from AAA. In an attempt to introduce a more unified course outline for junior academy, South Philippine Union Conference Education Department, headed by Dr. Bob Asis, spearheaded a more aggressive undertaking by holding a three-day meeting among academy teachers and principals of recognized Adventist academies through out Mindanao to come up with a more unified course outline per subject and per grade level to easily determine competencies of academy students in the conduct of yearly achievement tests by SPUC Education Department. A group of business students and professors, dean and department chair (two are education professors) from AIIAS (Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies, Silang, Cavite) chose SPAC as their place of destination for free workshop seminar on October 9 – 10, 2015, which hoped to enhance teachers/educators and students’ life in the face of today’s challenges. Their topics were: Jesus the Master Teacher, Jesus the Servant Leader, Jesus the Creative Thinker, Jesus the Great Communicator, and Jesus the Good Steward.These topics were distributed from Thursday night down to Saturday morning and afternoon. Although in a seminar form, participants (administrators, faculty and staff, and students) were blessed by the innovations made during the workshop as they were mostly interactive in form and substance. SPAC is grateful to AIIAS for this once-in a lifetime gift to the school. This event was organized by AIIAS Business Club.
